Gorman Forest Stewardship Plan

Gorman Forest
Stewardship Plan.

Gorman Bros. new Forest Stewardship Plan (FSP) is now approved and is in effect until September 30, 2028.  The FSP is a plan required by the Forest and Range Practices Act; rather than proposing individual harvest blocks and roads, the FSP shows broad Forest Development Units for which the Licensee makes commitments in the forms of results or strategies.   These commitments must be consistent with resource objectives set by the provincial government.

To help the public better understand our FSP, Gorman Bros. prepares an annual update that shows proposed harvest blocks and roads.  To download a copy of the FSP or to view the latest proposed development, simply follow the links below.  Proposed harvest block and road locations are available as digital Google Earth files.

Proposed
harvest plans.

Our proposed harvest plans will be published periodically on Forest Operations Maps which show the detailed locations of planned harvest blocks and roads.  These maps can be viewed on the Provincial FOM website.  Comments can be submitted through the FOM website during the 30 day commenting period. Written comments on any of our proposed forest management activities are welcomed throughout the planning and development process.  Comments can be emailed to FOM@gormanbros.com or sent the main office, Attention: Woodlands.
